Bickleigh Mill

Bickleigh Mill was built in the late 18th century to grind corn from the surrounding farms. The mill stopped operating in 1960 when floods devastated the area, however the workings of the mill and wheel are on display today. The mill and Bickleigh Farm were developed in 1973 and became the Devonshire Centre with crafts, a working farm and the mill. The Mill is set in 10 acres of land within the Exe Valley.
Today Bickleigh Mill is very popular not only for its huge range of crafts and gifts to suit any taste, but also for its idyllic river walks and the traditional atmosphere and delicious food available at the Bistro set in the Old Mill House. A wide variety of gifts are available including toys, arts & crafts and jewellery. Seasonal and special event items are also available for occasions such as Valentines, Mother's Day, Father’s Day, Easter and Christmas.
Upstairs at the Mill is the old Corn Loft where you'll find the children’s store. Again there is a wide selection of traditional and unusual goods available including nursery furnishings and furniture and activity toys.
